Saskatoon Open Door Society (SODS) has collaborated with the Student’s Commission of Canada (SCC), utilizing SCC’s survey tools to help evaluate SODS’ program The Crew of Young Thinkers. The program aimed to help youth develop critical, caring, creative, and collaborative thinking skills.

Survey results show that after participating in the program, youth felt more confident about pursuing post-secondary education, and had more positive outlooks on learning in general.

Overall, the evaluation suggests that The Crew of Young Thinkers program was successful in creating a space where youth could engage seriously with complex questions, express their own ideas, and consider new perspectives. Critical thinking emerged as one of the strongest outcomes of the program.
