This report is a comprehensive assessment prepared by the Students Commission of Canada (SCC) that evaluates the effectiveness of the Hope Blooms’ SEEd program on youth in marginalized Nova Scotian communities, including Northern Halifax. Hope Blooms’ mission is to foster relationships and build community resilience by empowering youth as agents of positive change to combat food insecurity, social exclusion, and poverty. The evaluation used both quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (focus groups and written responses) methods to analyze the impact of the program. The report highlights the value of culturally relevant and sustainable practices and youth-led initiatives, recommending further community engagement to refine future programming.
