Thriving from Application to Graduation

This research identifies barriers faced by First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and Afro-Indigenous students in post-secondary institutions. Together, the Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness and Taking IT Global consulted students in schools and in virtual sharing circles, and analyzed policies, practices, and resources to produce their recommendations for post-secondary institutions. These recommendations are categorized under the topics of recruiting, applying, transitioning, studying, and graduating. This resource can serve as a guide for post-secondary institutions to best support their Indigenous students.
